Running a business as a uni student

It can be expensive to study at university and many students need to get a job to help support them. However, it can be just as lucrative to run your own business and it can be a great way to boost your resume. There are many inspiring stories of university students who have put their classroom studies into practice and launched successful businesses whilst still studying. This blog has some profiles of successful businesses started by students as well as some articles on identifying businesses that can be run by a student. 4 benefits of adding a coat of paint to your commercial roof

The roof of your building does more than just offer protection against external elements. It can also help you save on energy costs, advertise your business, and retain the value of your property for many years to come. One of the best ways of breathing life into your roof is by adding a coat of paint.

Paint coatings on roofs can be applied in many different ways. Metal roofs work best with an electrostatic paint coating, while other materials such as asphalt are best suited for an asphalt-based coating. There are numerous benefits of coating your commercial roof. Some of the most common include:

1.    Save on energy consumption

Traditional roofs have one significant disadvantage. They tend to absorb heat from the sun, which ultimately results in higher energy costs. For example, heating and cooling your property may cost more because the roof absorbs heat during summer and loses heat during winter. You can solve the energy problem by coating your roof.

Roof coatings reflect the sun's rays and thus help you reduce cooling costs during summer. Some coatings are also environmentally friendly and help reduce leaching when your old roof is disposed of in landfills.

2.    Save on repairs and maintenance

Coating your roof can also help you reduce repair costs. Because roofing materials are often exposed to heat, rain, and strong winds, adding a coat of paint can insulate the actual roof from damage. This means that your roof will last longer while you spend less on repairs/maintenance.

3.    Attract more customers

Painting your roof is an excellent way of making it look more attractive. Different coatings add specific themes, including a shiny appearance, an antique theme, or a pristine look. You can also add different types of finishing to turn a dull roof into a modern masterpiece.

Attractive roofing can attract customers who connect with the appearance of your property. If you own a museum, restaurant, mall, or other similar establishments, adding aesthetic appeal to your roof via painting is an excellent option to consider.

4.    Custom designs for advertising purposes

Painting your roof is also an advertising weapon for your business. Using the right designs and messaging strategy, you can elevate your brand, advertise a specific service, or improve awareness of a product. Furthermore, painting is flexible and allows you to incorporate different designs over time. Think of roof painting as an excellent way of saving on advertising costs while protecting your roof.
